LED Spots are better than halogen lights, as light is emitted from solid semiconductors, and not from the burning of a filament like traditional lamps. High temperature lights up the filament while emitting more heat from the bulb, in comparison less heat is emitted from LEDs due to the semiconductor wherein electricity passes. Thus, more energy is saved by LEDs. These lights start up instantly and produce 70% reduced UV emission, unlike fluorescent or halogen lamps.
